RRACKSS Fine BBQ & Bistro, the barbecue restaurant in Des Moines’ Market District, has permanently closed, according to reports on Google and Yelp.

The restaurant at 401 E. Court Ave Suite 300, Des Moines, opened last October with a menu of steaks and barbecue from owner Chris Groom. The restaurant last posted on Facebook in April, announcing an appearance on a show called “America’s Best Restaurants.” The show includes a page about RRACKSS.

Phone calls go to a full voicemail box, and Groom did not respond to an email asking about the status of the restaurant.

The barbecue restaurant replaced Davenport’s Barrel House. That restaurant closed last June after a ten-month period.
