Francis Giannoccari obituary – Glastonbury, New Britain, CT

Francis E. Giannoccari, 61, of Glastonbury died Tuesday (Sept. 24, 2002) at home. Born November 3, 1940 in Hartford, son of the late Frank and Margaret (Lisanti) Giannoccari, he was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. Before retiring, he worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 35 years. Francis was a member of St. Paul Church and a member of their choir. He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member and former commander of the American Legion, Post 56, Glastonbury. He enjoyed attending performances at the Metropolitan Opera. He is survived by two sisters, Isabella Dubuc of New Britain, Angelina R. Giannoccari of Glastonbury; three nieces, Tammy Petrick of Glastonbury, Jennifer LaPierre and Michelle Dubuc, both of New Britain; two great-nephews and three great-nieces; and a special friend, Carol Murray. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, at 11:15 a.m. at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Paul Church, Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow with military honors at St. Augustines Cemetery, South Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home TODAY from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
