Officials have released the name of a driver killed after a car crash in Canyon County.

A woman driving a Ford Escape SUV crossed the center line last Tuesday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 26 and Farmway Road, about three miles north of Caldwell, the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to the sheriff’s office, she “nearly struck another vehicle head-on before colliding” with a Toyota Camry. The driver of the SUV died of her injuries at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise at about 4:52 a.m. Thursday, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
