Courtney Donahue named TUCCI/NFCA NJCAA DII Pitcher of the Year

LOUISVILLE, KY – University of Missouri softball signee Courtney Donahue was named TUCCI/NFCA NJCAA DII Pitcher of the Year, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Monday.

A native of Deen, Wisconsin, Donahue struck out 386 batters in 2024, 103 more than the next next pitcher in NJCAA DII and posted a 26-4 record with a 0.94 ERA in 186.2 innings of work as a sophomore at Des Moines Area Community High School.

She also led the Division in shutouts (12), strikeouts per seven innings (14.48), complete games (25) and WHIP (0.56), while ranking third in wins (tie) and ERA and fifth in batting average against (.115). ).

Donahue, who signed with Missouri last November, was also named a 2024 NFCA NJCAA DII First Team All-American and the ICCAC (Iowa Community College Athletic Conference) Student-Athlete of the Year.

Donahue is the fifth DMACC All-American pitcher since 2018 as Mizzou’s assistant coach Molly Jacobsen McCargar deserved the honor.

Donahue will come to Missouri next fall ahead of the 2025 season.
