The fire in North Phoenix has displaced 10 people and hospitalized one

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – One person is in the hospital and 10 others are without a home after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in North Phoenix on Monday.

Around 10:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at Tesoro apartments near 19th and Dunlap avenues.

The fire was immediately classified as a first alarm due to the amount of smoke coming from the second floor of the building.

Firefighters used multiple hoses to extinguish the flames while clearing the part of the building that was on fire.

Six units were affected, displacing a total of ten people. One person was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation but is in stable condition.

There were no injuries to the fire brigade. Investigators are still determining what caused the fire.
