South African golfer Ernie Els reigned supreme in Iowa when he set a tournament scoring record to win the Principal Charity Classic on Sunday.

The 54-year-old shot a bogey-free seven-under 65 to set a tournament record of 21 under par and win by two strokes at the Wakonda Golf Course.

It was Els’ first victory since March 2023 and his first PGA Tour Champions victory this season.
