Obituary of Marjorie Rogers – Boulder, CO (1929-2018)

Peggy Rogers passed away peacefully on November 25, 2018 at Sunrise Reminiscent Care in Boulder Colorado. She was born on January 21, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Elmer and Elsie Mollman. Peggy graduated from the University of Colorado, where she met the love of her life, Dick Rogers. They married immediately after graduation and were married for 60 years. Dick passed away in 2010. Peggy was a very caring soul who volunteered for numerous charities. She was a teacher at Casey High School in Boulder before starting her family. She was active at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and the University of Colorado Foundation and Football program. Peggy enjoyed fishing, playing tennis and hiking. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and was friendly to everyone she encountered. Peggy is survived by her son Steve Rogers, her son Rick Rogers and daughter-in-law Margaret Rogers, granddaughters Amanda and Megan, brother Robert Mollman and sister Beverly Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. A memorial service followed by a reception will be held at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 1680 Balsam, Boulder, Colorado 80304 on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, or the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60601.
