Obituary of Paul Jacoby – Leominster, MA (1938-2016)

Paul K. Jacoby, Jr.

of Fitchburg, army vet; 78 FITCHBURG — Paul K. Jacoby, Jr. was born in Winchendon, Massachusetts on May 7, 1938. He passed away peacefully on October 16, 2016, at the age of 78.

He graduated from Murdock High School in Winchendon in 1956 and entered the U.S. Army. After receiving an honorable discharge from the service, he met his wife, Raili (Thomasson-Hankilammi) Jacoby, at work in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. They were married on November 26, 1960. After working for several years, he was employed by Aubuchon Hardware in their warehouse. He retired in December 2000 after 32 years with Aubuchon Hardware in Westminster, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his wife, Raili, of almost 56 years, two sons, Mitchell Jacoby and his wife, Barbara of Methuen, and Douglas Jacoby and his wife, Wendy, of Lunenburg. He is also survived by a younger sister, Janice Jacoby of Meriden, Connecticut, and five grandchildren Taylor, Carter, Hunter, Benjamin and Hannah.

JACOBY — His funeral will take place on Tuesday (October 25), with a service at 9:30 a.m. at Redemption Rock Church, 3 Hager Park Rd., Westminster, MA. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Cemetery in Winchendon, MA. The hours of THE CURLEY MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 89 West St., Leominster, are Mondays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
