Man shot, killed near bus stop in North Phoenix; suspect arrested

A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder as a suspect in the death of a man shot after an argument at a bus stop, Phoenix police said Saturday.

The shooting happened on May 31 around 11:30 p.m. at Tatum Boulevard and Union Hills Drive. Officers arrived to find Nathan Page, 49, with a gunshot wound next to a bus stop. Page died at the scene.

Officers spoke with witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby convenience store that led them to the suspect, according to a Phoenix Police Department news release.

Detectives took over the investigation and followed leads that led them to 31-year-old Arbron Mehaj.

Detectives also obtained search warrants and said they found additional evidence and probable cause to book Mehaj into the Maricopa County Jail on second-degree murder charges, the release said.
