Jo-An Ulrich’s obituary –

Jo-An Theresa Ulrich, 78, passed into God’s hands on May 11, 2024 at Evergreen Health Care Center.

She was born June 9, 1945, in Rockville, the son of Joseph and Dorothy Ulrich. Jo-An grew up on Mile Hill Farm in Tolland and graduated from Ellington High School Class of 1963.

Jo-An worked at Travelers Insurance Company for over 40 years. She was a member of the Travelers Chorale, which performed every year at the Bushnell. Jo-An loved square dancing and was a member of the South Windsor Square Dance Club with her mother for many years.

Her hobbies included skiing, boating, camping, photography (especially sunsets), crafting and traveling. She has traveled all over the world and been to Germany, Africa, Hong Kong, Japan and 46 of the United States.

Jo-An was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Ulrich of Tolland CT, sisters Elaine Huot, Hyde Park, MA, and Sandra David of Bennington, VT. and brother Joseph T. Ulrich Jr. from Tolland CT.

Jo-An is survived by her sisters Ruth Carden of Baltic, CT, Joan Kasche (Edward) of Somers, CT, Joyce of Florida, and brother Raymond Gaudet (Norma) of Tallahassee, Florida, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. The funeral will take place privately. To leave a condolence, please visit
