Iowa Football boosts QB depth with CSU transfer Jackson Stratton

Iowa Football is adding a new name to the quarterbacks room.

Colorado State transfer Jackson Stratton will join the Hawkeyes next season, he announced on social media Saturday. Stratton is the second quarterback Iowa has added this season, joining Northwestern transfer Brendan Sullivan.

Stratton spent two seasons at Colorado State but did not see action until 2022. The 6-foot-4 California native played in three games that year, completing 4 of 17 passes for 78 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He was a three-star recruit coming out of La Jolla High School three years ago.

Iowa now has Stratton, Sullivan and Marco Lainez as depth pieces behind starting quarterback Cade McNamara.
