Ruth C. Campbell-Morgan passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024 at the Charlotte Mayfield Center due to the terrible disease dementia.

Ruth was born July 15, 1927 in Fed, Kentucky, now called Hi Hat, the son of Robert Lee Caudill and Evaline Caudill (Cox), both deceased. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lige Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Kimber Caudill, Austin Caudill, Ray Caudill (her twin), Donal Caudill and Vermon Caudill; her sisters, Augusta Reinhart (Caudill), Faye Combs (Caudill) and Barbara Ferguson (Caudill); and a daughter, Brenda Sue Owens (Adkins).

Ruth was a wife, homemaker and mother. Her Lord and Savior was the most important thing in her life. She loved to sing and play the mandolin. She was a member of Victory Outreach Church in Leesburg, Florida for many years. Since 2017, she has lived at the Charlotte Mayfield Center in Leesburg, Florida.

She is survived by four children: Peggy Walton (Adkins) of Fruitland Park, Florida; Sherry Scopino (Cecil) of Summerfield, Florida; Robert Lee Cecil of Minneola, Fla.; and Dwayne Cecil of Winchester, Kentucky. She has 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and then from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748. A The funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, June 7 2024, 11 a.m. at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg, Florida, with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
