Longmeadow, East Longmeadow girls lacrosse teams advance and more

Division II

No. 4 Hingham (19), No. 13 West Springfield (6)

Despite five goals for Audrey Canata’s team, the No. 4 Hingham girls lacrosse team defeated No. 13 West Springfield 19-6 in the Division II Round of 16 on Wednesday afternoon.

In addition to Canata’s impressive performance, Ainsley Kearney scored the Terriers’ final goal. Dylan LaBonte and Elda Huremovic each recorded one assist in a losing effort as their team finished the season with a 15-6 record.

Hingham now welcomes No. 5 Longmeadow in the D-II state quarterfinals on Friday evening at 5:15 p.m. The Terriers, meanwhile, say goodbye to their five seniors: Addison Chapman, Sienna Masciadrelli, Payton Colbert, Melina Fricchione and Ava Methe .
